The Ultimate Bitless Bridle is the only horse bridle which allows the horse total freedom in the mouth, while having no cinched components.  It will never twist or shift position when a single rein is pulled.  The pressure points mimic the bit and provide the ideal conditions for clear communication.

The Ultimate Bitless Bridle (UBB) can function as a halter or full bridle for lunging, driving, and all riding disciplines with no adjustments required.

Let your horse breathe easier with the Ultimate Bitless Bridle!  We believe that we have created the ultimate design for the bitless bridle which gives the rider total security and control, while eliminating the unnecessary and restricting throat latch & chin strap, and at the same time providing the horse comfort and peace of mind.

FAQ

How does my horse learn to open their mouth in the Ultimate Bitless Bridle?

The easiest way to teach your horse how to open its' mouth in the bridle, is to let it graze with the bridle on.  The natural action of the horse opening and closing its' mouth while chewing allows the reinstraps to fully loosen providing the feeling of total freedom in the mouth.  It shows your horse how wide it can open its' mouth with a bridle on, which for many horses, is a totally new feeling.  Soon your horse will realize that it can open its mouth to lick and chew at any point which is something they naturally need to do as a sign of understanding, relaxation, and clear communication.

My horse reacts and flips its head when first using the bridle.  Is something wrong?

This is normal for many horses who have never used a hackamore (cinch style) bitless bridle.   The Ultimate Bitless Bridle creates a new sense of freedom and also introduces new pressure points onto the horse's head. We recommend that you transition slowly into the bridle by doing some easy familiar work with your horse on the ground and then on the saddle.  Take your time to familiarize your horse with the new pressure points and sensations and they will soon easily adapt and enjoy the freedom the bridle provides.

I've noticed indentations on my horse's nose after using the bridle, is this preventable?

Yes, definitely.  Please read our philosophy page for more detailed information.  This usually happens from a heavy rein aid, which is preventable by taking the time to teach your horse to respond to a lighter rein aid in the bridle.   Groundwork and lunging are invaluable tools for educating your horse about the intricacies of the bridle.

Can I lunge/drive in the Ultimate Bitless Bridle?

Lunging is super easy and perfectly suited to the Ultimate Bitless Bridle.

Method 1 (the best) - The UBB is perfectly suited for lunging.  Just hook your lunge line into the two reinstrap rings and you are ready to go.

Method 2 (single rein lunging) - Secure your reins to the saddle, either looped under your stirrups or attached to your d-ring/bucking strap, then attach the lunge line to the inside ring and you are ready to lunge.  The Ultimate Bitless Bridle is the only bridle which allows you to lunge on a single rein and not have to worry about the bridle twisting on the nose!  Make sure your reins are attached at the saddle, so there is no possibility of your horse stepping through the reins.

Driving or ground driving is very easy accomplished by hooking your driving reins to the bridle reinstrap rings.

Is there a warranty on the bridle?

Yes, the stitching and materials are guaranteed for 1 year.

Can I lead and/or tack up my horse with the bridle?

Yes, to cross tie tack up, just hook into the metal rings at the end of the reinstraps.  To lead your horse, hook your clip into both crossunder strap rings.

Are there any color variations available?

Currently, the Ultimate Bitless Bridle is only stocked in Black and Brown.  Contact me if you'd would like to special order a specific color.

Where is the bridle made?

Chattanooga, Tennessee in the USA.

Is there a warranty on the bridle?

Yes, stitching and materials are guaranteed for 1 year.

How do I clean and store the bridle?

Cleaning the bridle with a wet sponge and soapy water will help prolong the life of the bridle. You can even throw it in the laundry with your clothes.  Always let the bridle air dry.  Dirt stuck in the bridle can accelerate deterioration.  Since the bridle is nylon, it is recommended to store the bridle out of sunlight.

How long will the bridle last?

With proper care and cleaning, the bridle should last for many years.  Be sure to store the bridle out of direct sunlight, as UV rays deteriorate the material.
